How about the earthquake idea? I think that was a good suggestion to drop some rocks on its head. At worst it will do a lot of damage, at best it will do lots of damage and trap it. Then we silence it (do we have a way to increase the level/save of a spell?). I don\'t want to silence it for spells, I just don\'t want us to hear it say "i give up, mercy" - cause then I would feel bad about killing it for the skin on its body.

<looks around> What i only play a paladin, doesn't mean i AM a paladin.

Earthquake certainly has a place in the plan. Any thing that disables/slows down the dragon is good. Also, there aren't really a lot of 8th lv druid spells that are going to be useful and neither Julia nor Mike has ever bothered to inform us what SC spells they've picked, so we can't make plans based on that.

They do also only get 2 8th lv spells each (I'm assuming they each get a bonus spell from wis). So we don't have a lot of options there.

Silence the caster level is irrelevant for (aside from duration), since if it's on an object the dragon gets neither SR nor a save since it isn't affecting the dragon per se.

Do you (or shil/six/anyone) have a suggestion for their SC spells? They may not have ever picked any.

EDIT: Can we use the invis to dragons spell from draconomicon or sc?

I had a whole list of suggestions for Julia at one point and I've made other suggestions since then.

Shil has already said no, earlier in this thread to the Invis spell.

Shil - SInce Julia is not choosing, can we choose for her (with your approval). It won't be dragon-centric spells.

Shil - do we have access to frostburn?

All - Have we figured out any spells we can use to drain our opponent? quickened effect?

Well, there are a couple of very limited options.

Cloudkill does 1d4 con damage with half damage, even on a save.

Feeblemind (base DC 23), dragon takes a -4 on its save as an arcane caster. With a Limited Wish stacking a -7. The dragon has probably a 20%-40% chance of blowing the save.

The Green layer of a Prismatic Wall does 1d6 con damage if save is made (kills if not).

That's pretty much it for the umpteeenth time.

Six has no chance of getting through it's SR with scrolls.

Since Fireseeds is only 6th level, we can use higher level slots for them. So we should take a bunch of them and at least a couple of the berries. Then when we find a spot where we'd like to fight the dragon, drop at least a bag of the berries at either end.

Luna gets 2 and Korm gets 1, so there's one open 8th lvl slot each (since she'll take an Earthquake).

You can make some suggestions, certainly.

Nope. Just SC and PHB2 for now, as usual. And even if I allowed other stuff I probably wouldn't allow that book. It has a lot of very unbalanced stuff.

Yes, it is. Unfortunately, since Nameless doesn't have it as one of his spells from the SC, nobody in the group currently has access to it.

Actually, If it is permitted. Nameless had only picked two spells from the SC for first level.

The bonus is only for ranged attack you do realize though?

In that case, if you want it, go ahead.

I'm presuming Dave does. There's no way you could have a no save, no SR, 1st lvl spell which gives the entire group that kind of bonus to all attacks.

Sure.

Gareth wrote:

Make a successful ranged touch attack and all your allies get an insight bonus to ranged attacks vs. the target = 1/3 x your caster level. Duration: 1 rd/lvl.
